Despite overwhelming odds and limited resources, including facing heavily armed terrorists with only four rifles and a rock, Dr. Gepner and his brother, Elad, fought valiantly to protect their community. The village narrowly escaped a fate similar to others thanks to a miraculous closing of their village gate just in time.

A Mother's Ordeal and Children’s Resilience

Michal, Dr. Gepner’s wife, shared her terrifying experience of being in a safe room with their children for 27 hours, shielding them from the horrific realities outside. Their daughter, Ella, tenderly spoke about the trauma of knowing her friends had been kidnapped and her fears during those dark hours. The emotional toll on every family member was palpable as they spoke.
