Ready For Your Moment

Unembarrassed Faith:

Embracing Your Moment with Jesus

Introduction

Today, we're delving into an essential aspect of our spiritual journey: getting ready for our moment with Jesus. If you've been following along with the teachings, you know we're moving from dealing with the embarrassment of faith to embracing a bold, unashamed love for Jesus. This transformative journey is about overcoming our fears, drawing closer to God, and preparing ourselves for the moments that define our faith.

Embracing Radical Faith

We've come a long way from the beginning of our journey, where many of us grappled with feeling embarrassed to show our faith. Now, we're stepping into a phase where we cast aside our worries about others' opinions and focus entirely on our relationship with Jesus. Our goal is to follow Jesus with fervor, leaving behind a lukewarm faith and striving for a passionate, all-encompassing commitment.

Overcoming Past Failures

We've decided that if we're going to experience failures, we'll do so close to Jesus, where His embrace can comfort us and His voice can guide us. No longer will we be satisfied with faint whispers of the divine; we seek to hear His voice loudly and clearly. Remember, God is always speaking—it's up to us to listen attentively.

God's Plan and Prosperity

Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God has a plan for our lives, not to harm us, but to prosper us. As exiles heading into Babylonian captivity were reassured of God's plan, we too can find solace in His promises amidst our challenges. Today, no matter what you're facing, remember: following Jesus means you're on a path to something greater.

Building Our Faith Community

Our love for Jesus should be so overwhelming that it spills into our relationships, inspiring us to draw others into the faith. We want to see everyone in the house of the Lord, building a strong community of believers who are growing together in faith.

Peter’s Redemption Story

Peter’s journey from denial to redemption serves as a powerful reminder that our past mistakes should not overshadow our desire to know Jesus. Just like Peter who overcame his shame and rekindled his passion for Jesus, we too should not let our past define us.

Focusing on God's Perspective

Often, we worry about what others think of us. However, the truth is that people spend more time thinking about themselves than about us. Our lives should be dedicated to pleasing God, who is always mindful of us.

Awakening Spiritual Hunger

Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Our goal as a community is to awaken a hunger for the Word of God. If we develop a genuine appetite for spiritual growth, much of our journey will naturally align with His will.

Luke’s Contribution to Faith

The Gospel of Luke and Acts make up about 25-26% of the New Testament, written by the meticulous physician Luke. His accounts provide a deeply researched and faithful narrative of Jesus's life, teachings, and the early church's growth, aiming to ground believers like Theophilus in their faith.

Living Out Our Faith Boldly

A radical faith isn't about impressing others but about an uncompromised commitment to Jesus. If we truly believe in Him, our actions must reflect this belief. Radical followers of Christ are not part-time believers but fully committed to living out their faith daily.

Conclusion

To be ready for your moment, you must:

1. Draw close to Jesus.

2. Have a made-up mind about your faith.

3. Focus on the future and the kingdom of God.

Ask yourself, are you ready to step up and embrace your moment with Jesus? If so, dive deeper into your faith with passion and urgency. Remember, our journey isn't just about being saved—it's about thriving in an abundant life with Jesus. Let's build the Kingdom of God together, advancing our faith and helping others along the way.

Stay committed, stay passionate, and keep your eyes on Jesus. Your moment is coming. Are you ready?
