The Future of the Church

The future of the church will not hinge on our strategies, systems, and organizational efficiencies.
These are important, extremely important.
Moses would not have had leaders for the thousands, hundreds, fifties, and tens without them. He would have exhausted himself and his people. Without them, the Apostles would not have developed the elders to help with the distribution of food. The church wouldn't have been trusted and empowered.
The future of our church will hinge on our full-force embrace of Biblical Christianity. When we chisel away at the authoritative truth of the Scriptures, the best strategies, systems, and organizational structures in the world will have nothing worth organizing left to organize.
It is the truth of the Gospel that exposes our hearts, brings about repentance, and transforms our lives. That gives the church power and a future.
Don't dumb it down.
Don't chisel it away.
Don't fail to preach it.
Lock your knees.
Stiffen your spine.
Preach the truth of the Bible.
And, preach it with everything you’ve got.
